We quote at prevailing market rates, based on the scope and nature of the work. There is no fixed rate card, because the right fee for a project depends on how much supervision it actually needs. This page explains how each type of engagement is usually priced and what moves the number, so you know what to expect before you call us.

How Each Engagement Is Usually Priced

EngagementUsual pricing basisTypically suits
Full project management consultancy (PMC)A percentage of construction cost, or a fixed monthly fee for the project durationMulti-unit residential, commercial buildings, developer and JV projects
Periodic site supervision and quality controlPer site visit, or a monthly retainer for a set visit frequencyOwner-built G+2 to G+4 homes, stage-by-stage checks
BOQ verification and billing auditA one-off lump sum based on project size and the number of bills to checkOngoing projects, running-bill disputes, final bill settlement
Independent quality audit or technical due diligencePer inspection or per reportPre-purchase checks, lender or investor due diligence, defect investigation
Construction and works contractsItem rates against an agreed BOQ, fixed in a written contractOwn-plot builds, renovation, public works

What Changes the Number

  • Supervision frequency. A daily resident engineer costs more than weekly visits. We recommend the frequency the stage of work actually needs: more during foundations and structure, less during finishing.
  • Project size and duration. Longer projects mean more months of reporting and site presence.
  • Number of trades and contractors. Coordinating separate civil, MEP and finishing contractors takes more time than supervising a single turnkey contractor.
  • Foundation type. Pile foundations need closer supervision than isolated footings. See why many Kolkata sites need piles.
  • Drawing readiness. If structural and architectural drawings are complete and consistent, less time goes into resolving site queries.
  • Site location and access. Sites in New Town, Rajarhat and Salt Lake are close to our office. Sites further away need more travel time.
  • Reporting requirements. Lender, investor or government documentation adds reporting work.

Common Questions

Do you publish a rate card?

No. We quote at prevailing market rates, based on the scope and nature of the work. Two buildings of the same size can need very different levels of supervision, so a flat rate card would overcharge some clients and under-serve others.

Is the free project audit really free?

Yes. It is a phone or video call with a Weston engineer to review your drawings, BOQ or contractor quote. There is no charge and no obligation to hire us.

Are your quotes inclusive of GST?

Weston Engineers is GST registered (GSTIN 19GAWPS7609F2ZQ). Every written quote states the GST applicable to that engagement, so there are no surprises at billing.
